extracting data from cache

Postby ibyoar » Thu Sep 20, 2012 9:24 am

Thanks for your help,
i have created several stats and i would like to access those stats through pgadmin querying the cache (tourney stats so tourney_cache). i dont find the rows corresponding to those stats in tourney_cache, so..:
how "can i make" those stats (or columns) to be in the cache?(i have added the stats in the hud, so this isnt the way...)
is the cache updated every imported hand?

The cache is updated every hand.

Built in stats are made out of columns which you can see via the Configure -> Statistics window. Those columns are what are stored in the cache.

Assuming you're not worried about any specific kind of data (e.g. specific positions), something like:

select sum(column_1), sum(column_2) from tourney_cache where id_player = X;

will get you that column value from the cache for that player. You can find a player's id value with this query:

select id_player from player where player_name = 'Player Name';

Replaying Player Name with the name you want (but keep the quotes). You can even embed this if you want to create:

select sum(column_1), sum(column_2) from tourney_cache where id_player = (select id_player from player where player_name = 'Player Name');

but not all the columns are stored in the table tourney_cache.for example, the first column i see in Columns section is amt_addon, this column does not appear in tourney_cache, the columns i hace created for my stats do not appear neither

That's correct; only built in stats usable in the HUD are added to the cache. If you build custom columns that data is not added to the cache at this time.

it means that my customs stats are not kept in the cache, so they are calculated every time,isnt?
that means that if i use a bunch of customs stats in my hud(which is the case), te performance will be very slow
