PT4 using more than 30% of my CPU

Postby GODMODE09 » Fri Sep 14, 2012 1:41 am

Hi,
PT4 never used to lag/slow down my laptop even when I used to 12 table. I took quite some time to generate reports, but during live play it was very very good. But today, I noticed it slowed down my laptop way too much. I could'nt 4 table without lagging. In the task manager it was taking min 30% and it went till 60%. I was only 3 tabling when I took the screen shot . Only thing PT4 was doing was importing current hands. It was minimised too.
My CPU is @95%+ in usage all the time and I want some help on this issue.

Thanks

Are you using our latest beta version (4.05)? What sites are you playing at, how large is your database, and do you regularly use the hand history viewer while you play?

What are the specs of your computer? CPU, RAM, hard disk speed and free space, etc? (An application like Speccy) can help with that kind of information if you don't know.
What version of PostgreSQL do you have? (See Database > Database Management)

You are using a processor at the minimum supported level and a hard drive that is slower than our recommendations (our research has showed that your computer comes with a 5400RPM hard drive).

Unfortunately this means that your system must work pretty hard to keep up with that many tables and there isn't much to be done about it.

(For reference, PT4 system requirements.)
