more panic!

Postby chrisyt » Mon Sep 10, 2012 12:23 pm

Ok, end of tether,
is there some easy simple list of what to do to install postgres Any version, i no longer care, to work with PT4 or PT3 cos neither can now connect, have installed and uninstalled em all. so am happy to start from square one.

(have most hands backed up ages ago)
am out of idea's now.
p.s. when installing postgres do we need the stack thing? and if so which bits?
also is there also some other program that calls itself a server?

thanks

right now its postgres 9.0

You don't need Stackbuilder. Please keep things in one thread - creating multiple threads doesn't really help things here.

That name doesn't mean anything to me I'm afraid. It looks as if that is the name of the PostgreSQL server, but it obviously doesn't mean anything to you so that's unlikely. If you don't have any PostgreSQL databases you can fully uninstall and reinstall by following the appropriate guide here - that should walk you through the steps you need to follow.
