Import speed

Import speed: 73h/s

I'm wondering why my import is so slow.
I saved my hands to import on a new samsung ssd drive.
Got 8gb ram and good processor.

I used to get up to 150h/s with other products.
I think even PT4 did way better speed for me about 99 or so...

But I never got up to 150 again ... any ideas?

What kinds of hands are you importing? In terms of raw speed you get much faster results if the hands are exports than if they are original hand histories. The worst are large files containing hands from lots of different tables all jumbled up (though from your results I doubt you're using those - those speeds would be very impressive for those kinds of files).

There is a lot of work going on behind the scenes when importing is happening and, in our tests, it is actually faster than PT3 because Housekeeing is being done for you as well. We will continue to work on improving import speeds when we can, but there is a limit to how fast things will be able to get - we have to write quite a lot of data, calculate stats, and then write that data as well.

I believe the speed was slowed down by 7000 import errors due to access violation.
Will that be fixed in an update?

If you have hand histories which cause an access violation please compress them and attach them to a Support Ticket so that we can investigate this and get it fixed. We definitely don't want to be seeing that!
