Confused on Stat

I am getting confused on the 3B v Position stat.
I was going to just use 3B by Position until I noticed this more specific stat.
In my Cash - Default HUD it has this stat... For example (under EP it has 3Bet vs EP 2B, under MP it has 3B vs MP 2B, etc.)
I was under the impression that this stat meant how much my opponent 3B my opens from EP, MP, etc. So how could I know this if under EP it says 3B vs EP 2B... we would never be in the same position.
I just made a stat line saying '3B V EP' and stats '3B vs EP 2b for each position to know how much my opponent 3bets me from my EP open, mp open, etc.

Will this work, or am I way confused? Thanks.

3Bet vs EP 2Bet is how often a player makes a 3bet when they are in any position and the 2Bet (ie- the first raise) came from a player in EP.

Where I think you're getting confused is that you can set the Position attribute to be something specific. For example, you could set 3Bet vs EP 2Bet to show Button data - then we find out how often this player 3Bets when EP opens and he is on the button (and gets a chance to 3Bet).

So how could I know this if under EP it says 3B vs EP 2B... we would never be in the same position.

At full ring tables there can be more than one EP or MP position, so that is possible.
(Though displaying "3bet vs CO 2Bet" for the cutoff wouldn't make sense, for example.)

I think I got it. I want to know specifically how many times my opponent 3B my MP open from the CO, and how often he 3b my EP open from the BB, etc.

So I,
have 3Bet vs MP 2Bet for (Total, EP, CO, BTN, SB, BB) and for each position have it specified for it's correlating position (in the 3Bet vs MP 2Bet under CO have the position aspect moved to CO). This should get my desired effects correct?
