Create new database for beta users

I just upgraded my PT4 with a real license but I remember reading somewhere that I need to create a new database and import my hands into this database. So here are my questions:

(1) Do I really need to do this and why?
(2) Is there a document or article that explains this process? I need step by step hand holding details.

(1) There are a few errors related to hand imports that were fixed in the commercial release. In order to get proper data in these situations a reimport is needed. If you're happy with some small amount of incorrect data, you can continue to use your current database - it will work.

(2) In your current database go to Database -> Export -> Advanced. Without changing anything click Export. Pick a new blank folder of your choice and click OK. The hands will export. Go back into Database -> Export Advanced and change to tournament. Click Export and choose that same folder. Create a new database via Database --> Database Management -> New. Set your new database as Active and Default. Click Get Hands From Disk and choose that folder. While your hands import, sip champagne and eat caviar.
