Multiple Currencies

Postby socorrista5 » Fri Jun 15, 2012 1:11 pm

Hello, I would like to know what do I have to do to have this situation correctly running:

I Have two players in different poker rooms:

player1 has 500.000 hands in NL5 dollars
player2 has 50.000 hands in NL5 euros

1. How do I have to configure the Currency for these players???
2. Will I be able to consider the 600.000 hands all together into the NL5, without taking into account the kind of currency?, Or will they be in different Limits because of the different Currency.
3. What does it mean the message "Adjusting session stakes..." while importing hands for directory???

I don't know how to handle this situation of to players in the same limit but in different currencies...

PT4 handles all of the currency conversion issues so that you don't have to worry about it. All currency will be converted automatically to your chosen currency as you have it set in the Database --> Currency area. If you set your chosen currency to euros (for example) you'll see the players wins (and losses) played in dollar hands converted to euros (using the midmarket spot price for the day the session was played) and combined with the natural euro hands.

If you are using the "Show Stats From Current Stake Only" option, the player's stats will not be combined from these two stakes (as they are not identical), but if you are using PT4 with the default configuration they would be combined.

The message about adjusting session stakes is what we show you when we're taking into account currency conversion and dealing with it behind the scenes for you.

Hello again,
I have more than 600.000 hands in dollars (so My Currency was in dollars), but now in spain there is a new Online Game Regulation, so we can only play between spanish people, so I am thinking about chenging My Currency into Euros, what should I do? Should I change My Currency into EUROS?, How do I do? How will it affect to my more than 600.000 hands in dollars?, should I change it? Would it take long? Will I be able to run the Leak Tracker and other stats and features with my dollars and euros hands?

All you need to do is change "My Currency" to Euros via the menu Database > Currency. PT4 will handle everything for you from there. Instead of converting your Euro sessions to Dollars, it will convert your Dollar sessions to Euros (when displaying "My Currency" - when viewing individual table sessions or hands you'll still be able to see them as Dollars when viewing "Game Currency" stats).
