PT4 running very slow - tourneys no showing + import error

Postby Late Ariba » Sat May 19, 2012 4:23 pm

Played a bunch of tourneys (HT-HUSNG-stars) without pt4 running.
Once finished I run pt4 to consume the hh from todays play
Afterwards I loaded my last 200 tourney summaries requested from stars + 60 or so hands played on an ipad the day before.
one of the ipad hh produce this error message

09:08:19 pm: Error: Fatal Exception: Access violation (0) (Flags: 0; Address: 0x006e65ce; EIP: 0x006E65CE)

PS PT4 was running really slow and wasn't loading any tourney results for the day after 1.19 was installed two days ago. So I did some db maintenance (reindex,tune,vacuum) but still nothing so I rebuild the cache but still not tourneys showing

====================

Well shut pt4 down tried to load the hh file and its fine.

Unfortunately the db is still running very slow. When filtering for today's results its just say loading... for both the graph and results list. It goes on for quite a while and nothing happens. CPU usage by PostgreSQL went up to 95%. After 3-4 mins the result do come up and they do look correct. This is roughly 35 tournies with a few hundred hands so nothing much really.

It shouldn't take that long to display results for that many tournaments of course.
Did you run housekeeping options after the import problems occurred? It sounds like the cache may not be updated, so if not try running it again.
Otherwise, please try creating a new database and use Get Hands From Disk to import your hands and see what the performance is like there?

If you still have delays please attach the PokerTracker4.log file from C:\Users\yourname\AppData\Local\PokerTracker 4\ (which you can access from the PT4 File menu) to a Support Ticket so that we can see what is going on.
