What I'm seeing doesn't seem to be affecting the actual performance of the cache rebuild, but as soon as I selected Database Management/Rebuild Cache, I got a Not Responding indicator.
I'm using the 4.01.19 version of PT4. Screen capture attached.

While the cache is rebuilding PT4 is busy so it may display 'not responding', especially if you click on anything. This is expected behaviour.
