Trying to make stat, failing

Hi all,

Trying to make a stat that is essentially "number of times player opened from SB <20bb deep." I should probably mention this is HUSNG format.

I found this thread, tried working through it, I just can't quite figure it out. I think the stat should look something like this:

cnt_p_raise / (cnt_p_fold + cnt_p_raise)

...what I can't figure out is how to wrap that in "...when effective stacks are <20bb."

Anyone really good with stats that can give a clue here?

What you need to do is make new columns - the existing columns are for all situations and you need to make more specific ones to encompass the situations you are looking for.

For the percentage of the time a player opened (I'm presuming with a raise) less than 20BB stack you want two columns:

cnt_hands_short_open_opp: sum(if[(tourney_hand_player_statistics.amt_before / tourney_blinds.amt_bb) < 20 and tourney_hand_player_statistics.flg_p_open_opp, 1, 0])

This counts how many times a player had a stack of less than 20BB and a chance to open the pot

and

cnt_open_short:
sum(if[(tourney_hand_player_statistics.amt_before / tourney_blinds.amt_bb) < 20 and tourney_hand_player_statistics.flg_p_first_raise, 1, 0])

That counts how many times a player had a stack of less than2 0BB and actually opened the pot.

Once you've built these columns in the Columns area of the stat configuration, build the stat definition using these columns by putting the latter over the former and multiplying by 100 - so your stat value expression would look like:

(cnt_open_short / cnt_hands_short_open_opp) * 100

If you used the names given above.

Gak. I made a mistake in my "English version" of what I wanted.

What I wanted was <20bb effective stacks. These columns/stats are tabulating only if the player is <20bb.

Is that even possible?

We have tourney_hand_summary.amt_p_effective_stack - that is same as the smallest stack dealt in. If that is what you prefer to use, that will work (there's also amt_f_effective_stack, amt_t_effective_stack and amt_r_effective_stack which is the smallest remaining stack to see each of the three streets respectively).

kraada, Could you help me out with columns for similar scenarios please?
Such as:
-3bet% vs SB with X to Y BB effective stack
-3bet Shove % vs SB with < X BB effective stack
-Steal from SB with Y> BB effective stack

Just one of each and I will go from there. Sorry for being lazy. But this custom stat programing is just too much for my brain.
