is it possible to export hands that a specific player was involved in?

Of course it is :)

The easiest way to do this is to click Database --> Export Hands. Choose either Sessions for Cash or Tournaments for Tournaments. Click on the one at the top of the list, press and hold the shift key, scroll to the bottom and click on the very last row. Click the Export Hands button, and that will export all and only hands that the active player was involved in.

If you want to change the active player you can do it via the Change button at the bottom left or changing the player from the player drop down before clicking Database --> Export Hands.
