Note import export query

[MoniesRemovalPLC]

I have exported some notes over last few days, i have 2 note files saved on my C drive, i had to purge a session i played and exported the notes i made before i did the purge. My questions are:

* if i import these notes into PT4 after the purge, will the notes become active next time i play these opponents? or do i need to have hands on the opponent for the import to work?

* if i import one file then the other will the notes be combined by PT4?or will the first notes be wiped / overwritten by the new ones?

* if no then can i combine my note files by copy and pasting one onto the bottom of the other in notepad?

On a side note, can i ask if purging of hands from a database slows down PT4 in any way??

If a note is imported for a player that does not already exist in the database, that player is created and has the note assigned to him - so the next time you get a hand on him you'll see the note. If you have a note on a hand that isn't in the database you get an error but everything else will still import.

If you import multiple note files the notes will be combined.

Purging should not slow down PT4, though there is a known issue in the current beta that results in problems when purging tournaments (specifically high CPU usage and lots of extra work) - that will be fixed in our next beta.
