View Stats > T > Results > Calendar. Pick any date in the top panel and it is several seconds b4 data appears in the lower panel.

View Stats > $ > Results > Calendar. Pick any date in the top panel and instantaneous data display in the lower panel.

My db is not big, computer of reasonable power but using a VM. Did NOT have this prob in .8 beta.

I am using a database with just under 1,000 tournament played (also in a VM), but I cannot reproduce your issue, both the tournament and cash game calendar reports are equally fast for me. Can you please post your pokertracker4.log file so we can look at the database queries? Also please click configure and let us know what statistics you are displaying. Lastly, please right click in the report, select Configure Report, and click Restore to Defaults if you altered the report - let us know if that made any difference in your speed of the report .

PS: While looking to reproduce this issue, your post help us catch a tournament results summing bug in this report, thanks!

I built some new stats yesterday because I don't like the way many of the columns (or whatever they're called) are left aligned and therefore butt up against anything that is right aligned; ie numeric values. When I reset the report to default all 'slowness' disappeared.

I much prefer this:

Yes, you found the cause. Custom stats will naturally slow down reports because they are not optimized for speedy results by our database gurus. It is a known tradeoff, that is why we worked so hard to add all commonly used custom stats into PT4 prior to release. Unfortunately we don't have an easy solution for your formatting issue, that will not be addressed in PT4... perhaps in future version of PT we can consider properties for stat formatting in reports like we do in the HUD.

Why not use exclusively right or left justification for all columns... but not both as that's asking for a collision?

Edit: Ima happy to live with the speed trade-off provided I can read a report clearly... I'll stick with my custom stats for now.

Our justification methodology is based on existing standards that are in use throughout the software industry. For example lets use Microsoft Excel (or any open source equivalent), left justification is always for text and right justification for numbers, dates, fractions, etc. Tournament # is treated as text in PokerTracker, hence it is left aligned. For a good example view the By Date grouped reports at the month level which shows a right alignment for date. Tournament Buyins look like text but are right aligned because these are actually two numbers formatted as a currency then concatenated together.
