Really slow importing

I don't know why this has happened all of a sudden but the importing of my hands from PS is SSSSSSSLLLLLLLLOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWWW. Any clues as to why??

Well in play it was perfectly fine. But today it wasn't even keeping up with the tables i had open, which at peak was around 22. Now i realised that i had some auto-notes running and think that maybe this was something to do with it but if this is the case then it is making the auto-notes pretty useless if i can't even keep up with hands importing in real time.

This is all for tournament play btw not the cash notes. Is there some kind of way to run the auto-notes after importing the hands instead of during the importing?

Also, i might as well say it in here rather than create a new thread. Would it be possible for you guys to implement a 'position' variable for the auto-notes? This would go in the section with {cardrange} etc

EDIT: okay i realised how to run the note thing after importing....not sure if this solves the really slow importing during play though

pt4 speed 60-65 h/sec 3m hands base / realy slow
hm1 importiing with 160-170 hands/sec in 8m+ base
hm2 500-600 5m+ hands

i noticed the same once (only one table open) and when i checked my import, it was importing previous imported hands but had not moved them from the poker folder. The duplicates counter was just increasing as it was importing the older hands (previous day i think). Everything normal once all hands imported again.

Only seen this problem once.

Duplicates will definitely slow things down - let me know if things are better for you tomorrow. You also can't really compare hand import times in PT4 and in HM2 - my understanding is they don't actually flush data to their PostgreSQL database until some time after import while we're actually writing data to the database. They just do more processing after the import is "finished". It's not really comparing apples to apples.

This is happening again. There are no duplicates or anything.

I'm playing right now and half my tables dont have a HUD because the hands havent imported yet

that option isn't even on that table. It gets that far behind that it hasn't even imported the first hand of a new table. Even now i finished playing about 30mins ago and it is still importing hands at like 1 per second.

Would rebuilding the cache help this?

i would go down to the micro level and open one table (SNG on the cheap). See what happens with import and then after a few minutes open one more table and watch the same.

Hud may not appear but you can still get the PT4 icon at top for table Lock, reset, save layout,...

if you can get that then play with reset, restart PT4 if no progress, check active tables in the import section.

Just try this with the cheapest SNG tables you can buy into.
