currency issue

I converted my currency from USD to EUR, but something went wrong there. when I played a short BEish session, it sayed that I was down USD 0.18 and EUR 0.39.
unfortunately I didn't take a screenshot, I just converted back to USD as to not get confused with it. Maybe someone else had a similar issue?

i had a few probs with currency exchange rates, bets thing to do is stop import hands, click database ~ currency, click the sessions you have played you want to change (you can shift and click to select multiple) then "set rates" its takes a while (depending on how many hands) but that should sort it

We've had a few reports of this behaviour but haven't been able to reproduce it. If you see it again, and you notice before you have restarted PT4, please attach the PokerTracker4.log file from C:\Users\yourname\AppData\Local\PokerTracker 4\ (which you can access from the PT4 File menu) to a Support Ticket along with the hand history file for the affected session.

As MoniesRemovalPLC says, you can correct this using the Currency window, but we'd like to find out why this happens so that we can stop it.

Thanks, we appreciate it - whenever you have time is fine with us. :)

hey,
in order to reproduce it, I started to convert my database again. I am afraid it got stuck somewhere. I don't recall how long exactly it took last time, but now the status is 'updating sessions' with elapsed time 12:59:02 and estimated time 81:08:57. those times don't change (I was looking at it for 10min now and neither time changed).

can/should I abort?

Before doing that please check to see if PT4 or PostgreSQL are using CPU time by checking in Task Manager. Right click the clock in the system tray and chose Task Manager then flip to the processes tab and make sure "show all processes" is checked (otherwise you may not see postgres.exe usage).

heh, I didn't know you could get to the task manager via the clock too. something new every day :-)

sometimes all line show a 00 but several postgres lines do show up with 01 or higher every now and then too. so I guess something IS happening? PT4 stays at 00 though.

it still says over 80hrs as estimated time but elapsed time has increased in the meantime (but stayed static since)

is that to be expected?

I was expecting to see much higher numbers if things were still being worked on. You can close down PT4 via the task manager - you may need to rebuild your cache via the database management window in PT4 but that should be the only potential downside for you (either way I highly doubt it will complete).
