Currency conversion issue?

hi,

as stated in screenshot taken from statistics/summary section, there is something wrong with currency conversion i think. as you can see there is 321$ game currency winnings. but only 267$ in MY currency winning. but problem is that i play in USD on partypoker and also my currency is stated as USD as you can see. so why those numbers are not equal?

maybe fact, that i was using EUR before beacause it is my default currency on PStars, might be useful. if i try to make initial setup through tools/setup assistant/currency, it will only state "waiting to apply historical currency rates" but nothing is happening.

Try highlighting your sessions and clicking the Set Rates button and let me know if that helps.

tried two times. first time PT4 crashes and was unable to connect database at all. after computer reboot database looks ok.
so i tried second time with nearly the same result. application stop updating cache after 2 minutes and not responding at all.

EDIT: strange. i run PT4 again. now i see both number equal and are accurate. but i cant see them, when filter "Group by" is set to "stake". previously i saw there sorted reports by stake. now i need to select actual stake i want in dropdown menu in quick filters. when i select other filter in "group by" dropdown, i can see results. only this "stake" filter give no report. maybe i will try to update cache manually in database maintenence.

Updating the cache can take a while - are you certain there was no activity in Task Manager for both PokerTracker4.exe or any postgres.exe?

ok, i`ll try third time.

looks like postresSQL process consumes 25% of my cpu, so i`ll give it a time till morning. estimated time 6 and half hours. this process needs serious optimization guys ;-) on your side or maybe on postgres. why it not runs 100% of my 4 cores?

When you're updating massive amounts of hands, it is going to take time, I'm afraid there is no other way around it - as much as we'd like there to be.

ok, so this process runs 14 hours now. it was enough time to complete this task i suppose, since estimated time was 6 hours. it still looks like its not responding:

Indeed something is definitely not right. Could you send us that log file before you restart PT4?

i am sorry, but i rebooted my PC today. can you tell me where can i find these PT4 logs?

but what bothers me right now more is that maybe something more was corrupted by this process. database in PT4 itself looks ok, but HUD seems like cant connect to it or what. on somne player i should have hundreds of hands, but HUD shows like 10 hands maximum.
i can manage this by restore my two weeks old backup and ask partypoker for sending me newer hands. maybe it will be best option to solve this all.

EDIT: i just rebuilded cache through database management and HUD looks ok again. god these IT things is so complicated :D

I'll take a look though the log I wanted was the PokerTracker4.log file - if you've restarted PT4 though it will have been overwritten.
