list of small annoyances

Postby phoenixx420 » Wed Feb 15, 2012 3:39 am

hey again. i apologize in advance if ppl have already reported these issues. they are things that constantly irk me while trying to use pt4:

1. pt4 is slow. unreasonably so. it takes forever to load when you click on your tourneys in the "view stats" tab

2. occasionally when i click on a tourney in the view stats tab in order to see a listing of tourney hands, i get a huge red error message and am unable to see the hands. closing and reopening pt4 fixes the problem.

3. i cant figure out how to look at all the hands of a tourney in the hand reviewer without opening each one individually. pt3 has a feature that allows you yo do this. is it there and i cant find it?

4. the hud updates way to slowly. seriously, at times its displaying stats that are over 10 hands old.

5. even tho im using your awesome new pt4 program, donkeys continue to suck out on me regularly. what gives? ;p

1. We're currently investigating report speed and I expect this to be optimized, although I don't have any details of that yet.

2. Next time you see this please attach the PokerTracker4.log file from C:\Users\yourname\AppData\Local\PokerTracker 4\ (which you can access from the PT4 File menu) to a Support Ticket and tell us exactly which report you were looking at, and whether you had any filters enabled or anything like that.
Thanks.

3. You can replay all hands in a report by right clicking the report and choosing 'replay all hands in report'. There are other interesting options there too - check them out!

4. That shouldn't be the case, although we are investigating optimizations.
Do you have a very large database?
Do you play a lot of tables at once?
Do you have a lot of custom stats in your HUD?
Do you see this if you play a single table and/or use one of the built-in HUD profiles?
Again if you see this please send us your log file so that we can investigate where any delays may be coming from.

5. Sadly that element of functionality is yet to be completed to our satisfaction, so we're only testing that internally so far... ;)

word to the bird. any guesses on when an updated beta version of pt4 will be released?

done.

"3. You can replay all hands in a report by right clicking the report and choosing 'replay all hands in report'. There are other interesting options there too - check them out!"

fabulous! thanks for the info.

"4. That shouldn't be the case, although we are investigating optimizations.

what constitutes large? my postgre folder is 3.5 gigs...

"Do you play a lot of tables at once?"

only 4-6

"Do you have a lot of custom stats in your HUD?"

no. they are all standards from pt3

"Do you see this if you play a single table and/or use one of the built-in HUD profiles?"

i havent notice on a single table. i tried switching to a couple built in huds and still had problems.

"Again if you see this please send us your log file so that we can investigate where any delays may be coming from."

crap... i forgot to mention that in the support ticket i sent. if you see it, cud you check the log file for lag time too? thanks!

"5. Sadly that element of functionality is yet to be completed to our satisfaction, so we're only testing that internally so far... "

1. No estimate yet, sorry - this is quite a complex issue and hard to anticipate.

4. Please post your ticket number here and we'll check it out. I would normally suggest adding that info to your ticket yourself, but we're currently a bit behind with tickets due to the volume of support requests and if you reply it will move it down the queue again.
