How does note tracker works ?

Hello
I have tried to make this tool work, and i failed.
I have a new database, i only played one tournament.
but i dont see any notes "automatically' updating anywhere. Where should i see them ? in the client note editor ? in the PT note editor ? in another window ?
i have tried to make a new notetracker by clicking on "new" in the edit panel, but nothing happens when i set filters to "all sites" and push the "test" button.
i really dont get how it is working

There aren't yet default NoteTracker rules for tournament play which is why you haven't seen any notes yet.

If you wish to see sample note definitions, click Tools --> NoteTracker and click on the cash side and you'll see many default rules for cash games.

In terms of configuring your own notes the basic idea is this:

The Name of the note is what is seen in NoteTracker. You pick the category you want it to display in on the HUD note window. You choose the game that applies. You type in the text you want to see the note say, and then you click on Player and filter for the times that will capture that note.

For example, if you wanted to make a note "Limps with 10 big blind stack or less" you would type that in the text section and click Player. You'll see it open the filter window and you want to select those filters which will cause NoteTracker to pick out hands when someone limped with less than 10 big blinds. Those filters are: Actions and Opportunities -> Preflop -> Calls -> Limped and Hand Details -> Pot SIze and Stack Depth -> Preflop -> Actual Stack Size between 0 and 10 big blinds.

Set the note to Active and click Save. Now every time any opponent has a hand that matches that filter set (limps with 10 BB or less) he'll get that note.

There's also one particularly useful variable you might want to think about: {cardrange}. {cardrange} gives you the list of hands he showed down in the given spot. For example, we have a default cash note "4Bet+ Preflop Range" which has the filter for 4betting or higher preflop and the text reads "4Bet+ Range {cardrange}". In play you'd see something like "4Bet+ Range {AA, KK}".

The Test area lets you test individual hands to make sure the note is coming up as you would expect.

Thank you very much for this detailed answer, but sorry i still have a problem.
when i set the note filters as you said, i get nothing in the "test" panel (no hands in the list). how can i test a hand if i cant click on it.

My apologies; I thought we had fixed that bug.

I'll make sure this gets added to our bug list to get fixed as soon as possible.

The NoteTracker automatic note taking function should still work, it's just that the test window is not displaying hands properly.

I created two Rule for Tournaments like this example, except i added the {cardrange}.

The first one: (Actual Stack Size between 0 and 10 big blinds) AND (Limped any Limp)
The second one: (Actual Stack Size between 11 and 20 big blinds) AND (Limped any Limp)

but i get 2 Notes every Time:

[P] Limps with 10 big blind stack or less {Q7s} (1)
[P] Limps with 11 to 20 big blind stack {Q7s} (1)

tried it with ohter filters in Hand Details -> Pot SIze and Stack Depth -> Preflop but the results are the same.

Please export your note rules and the hand history for that Q7s hand, compress them, and attach them to a Support Ticket so that we can see what is going on.
