Currency anonomolies

Postby MoniesRemovalPLC » Sat Feb 04, 2012 5:09 pm

Not quite sure why it is but the results i am getting from PT4 have been a bit dodgy, see this screenshot where its converted 41 USD to equal 12 GBP ??? i knew the $ was weak but if it was that rate i'd sell my car and buy a house in america :)

If you look at the Results > Currency Exchange Rate report what is the exchange rate shown for that session?
If the rate is wrong, go to Database > Currency and select the session and click Get Rates with the "automatic" option selected. Does that correct it?

yh for some reason one of the tables has a conversion rate of 0.0 that accounts for the difference ~ i clicked "set rates" and it updated the cache, all good now

That's good to hear - thanks for letting us know. If you notice any other issues with this please let us know. Some currency conversion issues were fixed recently, though, so hopefully in future it should work more consistently.

ok i went to my PT4 processed folder and copied and pasted the HHs into my import folder, another 160 hands were imported and 1411 duplicates were found.
Before the new hands PT4 was showing me up 400£, but despite reimporting the previous hands, my results are absolutely nothing close to what they should be, i have won 800£ today but PT4 showing £200????

Did you get any import errors during the re-import?
If you have a session where you know the amount you actually won and that is different to what PT4 says please attach the hand history file to a Support Ticket so that we can have a look why that might be.

can i ask, is it possible to just have the currency rates preset to specified value, instead of having PT4 changing the rate every 5 mins ~ pretty sure thats what causing some of the problems i'm having, i went into database - currency, and attempted to use the rates option that always you to manually specify the rate, but when i click and enter values, then save it the program just doesn't remember what i've done and goes back to setting the rates automatically.
