Observations . Part I - main windows and options

Hello,
as you might remember i had a tough time starting with PT3. I did "made it" thanks to support from community and moderators here. Yet i treat PT3 as lesser of all evils - HEM2 and pokeroffice.
i'm glad to have an opportunity to provide some feedback during Beta testing. I hope that some of my notes will be of value to you.
I plan to post a series of notes. I do not plan to provide a complete testing of all features of the application. I should say that i'm playing on everleaf and play cash 6 games.

At this time haven't started playing using Pt4 yet. i just configured and went thru the app.

Overall observations. part I - Main window and main options.

no desktop icon isntalled after installation. It seemed to appear on the desktop only after machine was rebooted.

initial setup - site configuration files - name is misleading - what exactly is configured here?

Speed of the insert during conversion is low - 155K hands took ~20 minutes.

initial setup :
"import Configuration" window is incorrectly resizing. Drag the right side to the right - the panels won't resize.
Main window
no tool tips.

Community page - "The PokerTracker 4 Community portal will be become available for use during the Public Beta."

Overall performance - much better then PT3
"import Configuration"
the internal panels do not adjust properly while adjusting the size of the main wndow.
while the dialog give the opportunity to import from email. there is no dialog to import from the directory.

File -> "Import Statistic" and "Import HUD profile". At the same time "Configure" -> "Sites and import Options". I suggest
to reorg into under "Configure".

"Database"
would be nice to see some basic information about the hands - first/last hand/date, maybe what sites are there.
"Hud"
though its understandable that HUD is the single most important piece of the application. I suggest to move config menus
under "Configure" for consistency.


"Community"
i would think that this should be the last page. I'm to play the game and only if needed to post/read smth.

"Play poker" -> down to the left " "import Status" - what's the meaning of the yeallowish-red icon? is it red because it's working ? there is no help icon anywhere.

"View Today's Hands"
"Most Recent 100 hands" is the first and default option. Click on "specify number" cancel out - the report will adjust to default ( 100 hands) and relod. No need to reload.
"view Active Tables" - > click on any table. In the report for the table below, right click and select " change active player". the "Search for player" will come up. It has 0 players in it.
If this a feauture or a bug?
now if i type any player name i know ( or from another table) nothing happenes. What's the functionality are we trying to have here?

"View import status"
the single reason i chose PT3. Great it's stil here. If possible would be nice to see the list of the tables and maybe some basic info - hand last imported and it's timestamp. Please do leave
the log showing the running progress.
again - no help menu.
window resizing is messed up - there should be a minimum size to resize to.

"View stats"
same issue with window resizing. i think it maybe a bug with the library you use.
left panel:
there is no title on the first bar where "Player" and "report" filters are.
"Player"-> "Edit player List" :
i have a player and an alias. click on the "two people" icon to the right on the dropdown. and remove the alias from the menu. close the manu. Position the cursor over the "2 ppl" icon ->
the tool tip still informes about (just deleted) alias.
"Edit player list".
I have 2 players. Click "delete all" removes only highlighted one. It possible that it's because the other one is an active player.

Removed both players from the list.
added the 2 as "active", added 1st as an alias - no changes to the tool tip observed. After opening and closing "edit player" dialog several times the icon ( single orange person)
changed to "2ppl" icon and tool tip displas correct information about aliased player.

To hid the "bar" for example "Filter" i have to click on a tiny "-" sign. It would be better to be able to hide/show this element by clickin on the bar itself.

"Quick" -> "More Filters" - making no changes in the "Cash Filters".
two panels "Filter by and "Game Details" are not aligned on the bottom. the "< Cancel" button is not consistent with the rest of the buttons in the app. As far as i can see
there are no ">" or "<" symbols .
Clicl "Add Filter" opens a new emptry panel "Current / Active Filters". There should be an empty grid i beleive. There are 4 buttons - cancel and Save& Apply and 2 on the bottom.
This is all very inconsistent. I suggest to group them either on top as in previous menu or on the bottom.
Clicking "Add filter" brings back the previous menu. Very confusing.
if i click on "Cancel in "Cash filter" i get back to the main application menu. that's unexpected for me.
"Edit Quick filters" is empty and other then "load Filters" there seemed to be no other option to do anything here. Well" Load filters" doesn't produce any action either.
Back into "hands" of the "View statistics". there is a bunch of options available in the "hands" part of the window, but there seemed none (refres hand save as) in "graph"


"Statistics"
hura! - there is some built in help. this is "+" from me right away
for "protected" stats - no need to make labels in the "Edit Stat" disabled - it's hard to read. Same with the test in definitions. Also those definitions are useless for me-
for example : @bet Flop" is defined as (cnt_f_bet_def_action_raise/cnt_f_bet_def_opp) *100 - english please! :) . Oh, wait . the english description is in the "Details" section.
Hmm. I suggest to put the "definition" as a second button and make default the "Details". i'm sure that most people want to understand what the stat is before making any configuration changes to it.
"Details" -> "Available categories" is disabled, but it has a roller (? i forgot wha'ts that thing in the window called that allows you to scroll. Sorry ). so i can't see the complete list of
"Available categories".
Also there is no help for "Edit stat" panel/module which is a critical piece of the application.
the "OK" and "Cancel " have shortcuts but not the other buttons.

Main window- > "configure" -> "hand range models" - no help and i'm not sure what do i need to confiugre and what, if any, affect it has on other application's modules.
