result by hole card

Postby philip77 » Tue Jan 31, 2012 3:10 pm

Hi,

I just downloaded the beta of PT4, and for the moment I feel a bit lost (probably normal), I have some questions:
- where do I find the results by hole card
- is it possible to import custom stats, reports, HUD that I created previously with PT3
- is there a manual to download to see the new functions and changes with PT3

Thanks

Regards

You can find results by hole card by picking the Summary report in the left hand sidebar and choosing to Group By Holdem Hole Cards.

PT3 HUDs and custom stats should all import into PT4 properly - if you have any problems importing anything PT3 related into PT4 please let us know as soon as you can so that we can get it fixed.

Thanks.

Another couple of questions:
- Is there a way of exporting all my custom stats from PT3 in one time, or should I have to export them all one by one with the export button?
- Is there something similar in PT4 to the "Details" tab in PT3, where you can see the information street by street (face a bet, face a raise ...).

You can't export multiple stats from PT3 at once, so they'll need to be done individually. Before you do this en-masse I would suggest having a look at the stats available in PT4 as quite a few have been added by default - you might find that what you want is already built in. If you have any questions about existing stats please ask.

The Details report has not been transferred to PT4 - it was included in PT3 as a legacy report from PT2 since users were used to it, but it isn't something that a lot of players use these days.
You can add any stats you like to reports by right clicking the report and choosing Configure Report, or you can set up a custom report with the stats you want to see on the My Reports page.

Thanks again.
Just a quick reflexion.
I saw you put All In Ev column in a lot of report, which is a great idea. But I look at it form example in the summary by hole card, and I found it quite strange that it was so low. For example My All In PF equity for AA was 60, when this hand has aroud 80% equity against every other hole combination. Then I look better and saw that the result (60%) in reality included the hand that did not went to showdown, and that if I put a filter "Went to showdown" then my All In PF equity showed a 82% much more in line with expected.
I suppose this is not an issue and you decided to put it that way, but could you explain me why you don't only take into account the showdown hands?

Regarding my custom stats and the new PT4 stats, is there a list of all the new stats you have added, or should I just look through the all list?

All-in EV and equity should only be calculated for hands with an all-in, where all the cards which call the all-in amount are known.
It is possible that something is being calculated incorrectly as a summary in some situations - can you please explain exactly what stat you added to the Starting Hands report so that we can check this out in detail? Thanks.

I did not add any stat for the time being, I'm just looking at all the things you put as a default. My point came after looking at the "All-In Equity Adjusted" Report (in the "results" tab) and using the group by Starting Hand (Holdem). My fisrt impression were that your All-In equity were a bit low. So I look at the AA (or KK) PF stats (Avg PF All-IN Equity), which should be around 80% (70%), but I have only 60%(55%). Then I put a first filter : Face and AI PF or Raise All In PF, I got exactly the same number as before (Avg PF All-IN Equity), and I see in the bottom part of the screen, all the hands, I understand that of course some hands were folded PF by my oponents, but it seems that the average take them in account. So I add to my previous filter "Went to Showdown", and know the All In stat is more in line with what was expected (around 82% for AA). So I conclude that you use the hands that went NOT to showdown (probably putting them a 0 equity).

Hope this help you.

It is only 80% for AA if you're heads up - were you looking at hands that involved multi-way allins? If so that number can drop pretty quickly.

It was mainly HU hands (with some villains AK, and AQ in the lot), and anyway as I told you, when I put the "Went to Showdown" filter it jumps back to normal 80%. I did not put any filter on the number of player seeing the flop, so it's not the problem.

I'm seeing this as well on my end, I'm going to look into this further for you and see what is going on here.
