I have just downloaded the PT4 beta and run the setup assistant, now PT4 is importing hands now from my old DB (PT3) which is about 2 Million hands but this is taking forever (about 2 hours and less than 150.00 imported). My computer is relatively ok (Core i3, 16GB RAM). Is there any way to speed this up?

As you have 16Gb ram - you can use RAMdisk software to create 12-13Gb ramdrive, create new base, check it's name by Pgadmin, stop SQL, move this base folder on this drive, go to the SQL\base folder run command:
mklink /J 43127 B:\PostgreSQL\base\43127 (this is for example)
run SQL service again, start PT and import hands in that base until you have reach the base size to the ramdisk limit.

RAMdisk will speed up your import rate dramatically

Before import I suggest you to export all hands manually to reduce load of SQL service by export procedures (put all perfomance to the import). But maybe it have no sense - I not tested this.
