Is there anywhere to see the release notes for the new beta? I didn't look closely at the DL link.

Also, just ran my first manual import with the new beta and the speed was about 30% slower than previously.

Was this new beta even officially announced ? I'm glad some people put the release number in their posts here on the forum or I would not have known about it. I didn't seen anything in mail, twitter or this forum.

No idea, saw here that there was a new release and immediately downloaded and installed :).
Now I realize that that's also how the PT3 beta's behaved, so all's cool ;).

There is a huge variance in the fastest and slowest imports. When we test for speed we generally use the fastest import paths on the biggest sites. In any case if you can help to provide a specific test case we can look to see if there's something we can do for your particular situation.

Thankfully manual import is a one time process so you'll only have to suffer once.
