Add Aliases does not work

Hi.

If I want to add an alias to a screenname, I can type in the players name, the list doesn´t appear there I can select the name.

The list can take a second to populate after you type as we're querying the database live as you type. Are you not seeing it even after you give it a moment? Also, you can search for part of a name - if your screen name was "Player 1" if you typed "layer" you'd see yourself in the list.

Sorry, my fault. Took a bit longer than I expected to load the list. Seems to be fine.

I had the same problem and it finaly works. As it takes long times to link or unlink two players who already had hands in database, why not propose a progress bar like the one for import ? It would be more confortable.

This idea has been proposed to the developers, but I must explain upfront that if we cannot predict the length of time it would take to join/unlink an alias, then a progress bar would not help. We will look into it!

Yep sure, but if the user click anywhere in the programm windows while the lind is doing it makes freeze PT4 and the alias works so bad cause the programm shut down before it was compeltly done.

Adding an alias may appear to freeze on my computer, but in reality it is not frozen - it is just busy completing a very complicated SQL transaction. Try again, but this time let PT4 complete it's function and report back. Also please let us know the following to help us research -

• The networks the aliased players are on
• The number of hands in your database
• OS version
• Memory installed and processor

That's why i did second times and it works perfectly but i 'd prefer something more "smooth" than just let the computer in this freeze mod until the operation is done. Networks are Ongame.fr (5k hands) POkerstars.fr (30k hands) and Fulltilt.fr (100K hands). i run with windows 7, 4GO RAM and Athlon 635x4

We will look into putting some sort of "working" indicator, even if we can't provide an estimated time left. This will let you know that PT4 is still working and not frozen. Thanks for all the input!
