Poker Tracker - PT3 DB import from setu assistant

I grabbed my copy of PT4, and while going through setup assistant, I said I want to copy my PT3 DB. Initially everything was going ok, but then this happened:

I'm running Postgres 9.0 and my DB is located on my laptop, while I performed installation on my PC. Any ideas what can be wrong?

Thanks Stocker - this is being addressed now and there should be an update later today with a fix, but in the meantime please change your Regional Settings to English and your hands should import OK.

If one changes to US settings and imports hands, will we have to re-import hands later when you release the fix and we go back to local regional settings?

You shouldn't - the issue is that PT4 isn't handling your locale properly. The fix will convert everything properly internally so once the fix is in it shouldn't matter what your computer's locale is set to.

I have another issue when converting from PT3 DB into PT4. Everything goes smooth after the locale fix, but suddenly (when importing something about 87,632 hand) Windows throws and error that PokerTracker stopped working. I'm attaching screenshoot. [ img ]. If you need some specific details on that, let me know and I'll try to provide more.

Please try this again, and if it crashes submit the crash report with a detailed message of the problem (or link us to this thread).

Just how long should it take to import from PT3? I'm working on 24 hours for 500K hands over 1500 MTTs.

It varies depending on your computer and the type of tournaments involved. Large MTTs with summary files will take longer because there are many more players to process, for example. Bear in mind the import now includes database housekeeping (so you don't need to run it afterwards) and the tournament summary imports will affect the overall hands/second speed since it isn't only hands being imported.
That said, we do hope to optimize import speeds further once the initial teething problems of the first few betas are sorted out so please let us know how long it takes - the more information we get the better.
