Getting Started
Once you have downloaded and installed PokerTracker 4, you must enter you registration code to proceed. In the event you have misplaced the registration code, it can be found at
http://www.pokertracker.com/user/mycodes.phpPokerTracker 4 will use your existing PostgreSQL installation, but if you’re using PokerTracker for the first time it will install it for you. In the event you do not know your existing Postgre SQL username and password, please try one of these two common defaults:
When PT4 first runs the Setup Assistant will appear, this is an automated tool which will guide you through the process of
- Creating a new database
- Define your preferred Currency
- Set up your existing poker clients for automated import
- Convert your existing PokerTracker 3 database (including custom stats and HUDs)
- Convert your existing HEM database
If you need to access this assistant in the future, it can be found in the menu at Tools > Setup Assistant.
The PokerTracker 4 HUD will display on your poker tables automatically as hands are imported. To start importing hands click the “Play Poker” button in the button-bar at the top of the screen followed by the “Get Hands While Playing button. Alternatively you can click the import icon on the button right hand of any page inside of PokerTracker 4.
To import existing hand history files click Get Hands From Disk and select Files or Directory.
Tip! In the event you need to further configure the poker sites you play at or define your import preferences, Select Site & Import Options from the Configure menu
You can see which sites are supported for automated import in the Poker Sites & Networks section of the panel on the left. Additionally PokerTracker 4 will import hands from poker networks which are no longer supported for live games or are antiquated such as:
- Absolute
- Betfair (pre-OnGame)
- Bodog
- Cereus
- Cryptologic
- Full Tilt
- Tribeca
- Ultimate Bet
