Purging hands

Hello,
I've got a problem with purging hands that I observed. I wanted to delete tournament hands of people I saw playing, because that changes my graph vs player.
Went to purging hands, checked "only observed hands", tournament section, because I only play tournaments. Then my count went from 4500 something to 1680. So many tournaments were deleted.
Why is that? What I'm doing wrong here?
Restored database and looking for a solution. Pokertracker version is 4.18.4

Unfortunately that's a known issue when purging observed hands and if you open a Support Ticket we can let you know when that is fixed. If you want a database without observed hands then you can export your own played hands from the database and then import those hands into a new database.

Can you tell me what to uncheck to export my hands only?
I need to backup the database and restore it from that back uped file, right? But I don't see the option to export only my hands. Is it "processed hands?"

Exporting is done via 'Database -> Export Hands':

Did you create the backup before purging? If you have a backup file from before the purge then you can restore that and then export hands from the restored database.

But I don't see the option to export only my hands. Is it "processed hands?"

Exporting hands is separate from backup & restore. 'Processed Hands' is not anything to do with exporting either - this is the folder where the original hand history files from your poker site(s) that get auto-imported by PokerTracker 4 are archived:

C:\Users\{Windows Login}\AppData\Local\PokerTracker 4\Processed

Manually importing ('Play Poker -> Get Hands From Disk') from that location is also an option but if there are observed hands there you should turn off the import of observed hands via 'Configure -> Sites & Import Options -> Preferences' although if you have manually entered tournament data then exporting hands/tournaments will create summary files containing those manual results so they get imported into a new database.

I exported hands, but still I cannot exclude observed hands. I don't see the option to not include them when exporting

How exactly are you exporting the hands? Are you doing this via the 'Advanced' tab? As per the guide that will include hands regardless of the selected active player:

PokerTracker 4 can only export specific sessions or tournaments for the active player, so make sure to change the Active Player along the bottom if using the Sessions or Tournaments tabs (all tournaments or filtered tournaments can be exported regardless of the active player using the Advanced tab).

To export hands specific to the active player you will need to do it on the 'Tournaments' tab. You can select all tournaments before exporting using CTRL-A.
