Huge Error with IPoker results after importing Hands

Postby Forestingboard » Wed Oct 23, 2024 4:21 am

Hello, i switched from Hand2Note to Pokertracker a few days ago, struggled first to get it running for my IPoker skin but managed through Youtube. But when I imported my hands (roughly 100k) my PT4 graph is completely different from the Hand2Note graph with the same Hands and obviously wrong, I purged all Hands and re-imported them again but it didn't change anything, any suggestions?

Really annoying, since I'm also not sure if the Hands I'm currently gettign while playing will show up correctly or wrong as well.

Appreciate any help!

Go to 'Database -> Currency', select any sessions/tournaments which have an exchange rate of -1 and click the 'Set Rates' button to fetch the correct exchange rates for those sessions. Note that you can select a range of rows by holding shift and clicking the start/end and you can also select multiple ones individually by holding CTRL and selecting:

Guide: Currency

This situation normally occurs when the timezone is configured incorrectly for iPoker as their hand histories do not specify what timezone is being used so for future sessions you should set the time in the iPoker lobby to server time and not your local time. Then in PokerTracker 4 go to 'Configure > Sites & Import Options > iPoker' and select the skin you play at, or if it isn't listed one which uses the same server timezone as your skin. That should mean that the hands import as the correct time and avoid problems with retrieving the exchange rates for future sessions.

Where would I see which sessions have n exchange rate of -1 and which do not?

No currency conversions are applied to those sessions since the currency the hands were played in are the same as your 'My Currency' in PokerTracker 4. Please try a database cache rebuild via 'Database -> Database Management -> Rebuild Cache -> Full Cache Rebuild' to see if that resolves the problem. If not how exactly were these hands imported? Did you import from original hand history files provided by your iPoker skin or did you import from H2N exported files? Or maybe you performed a database conversion via 'Tools -> Setup Assistant -> Convert Hand2Note Database'?

Did the Full Cache Rebuild which sadly didn't change anything.

I request the HandHistory on my IPoker skin and then download and extract it. The Hand histories in the folder show up as Microsoft Edge HTML Document
In the Pokertracker I select "Get Hands From Disk" -> "Select Directory" -> choose the already extracted File

Should I try deinstall & reinstall the PT4?

Reinstalling PokerTracker 4 isn't likely to help. If you create a new database and import from the original hand history files instead does that change the results you are seeing? By default H2N will have archived the original hand history files to C:/Hand2Notehh. Also if you are not currently using the latest version of PokerTracker (v4.18.4) then please update it before importing again:

Download PokerTracker 4

If that doesn't resolve it please open a Support Ticket with a link to this thread and a compressed sample of your hand histories. If you can narrow things down and identify a specific session/hands where results are different and include details in the ticket then that would be useful but feel free to zip/compress the entire sample if that's not possible.
