Troubles after last update 4.18.3

Postby timej77 » Fri Oct 11, 2024 6:13 pm

Hi PT4 team, could you pls help me with the issue of 4.18.3 last update? Once I installed latest version of PT4 I cannot open the app. The instalation was successful but once I wanted to open the app, I could not.

The app icon looks like this:

Once I find the PT4.exe and double click, the app isnt opening at all.

I also tried to install old versions of pt4, installation is always easy and once I run the app everything seems fine. But when I click on "Get Hands While Playing" it wants to run "cache update" and after that it always crushes. I let it run for 7 hours in hope that maybe database needs to update, but no positive response, all the same.

One thing whats in my mind why this is happening could be that during the first 4.18.3 update I accidentaly click install once some of my poker clients were running. It was mistake. After that I cancelled the installation and tried it again. Everything ran fine but from that moment I cannot open the app. Then oldest versions are crushing because of "cache update" I mentioned above.

One more thing, when I´m installing (updating) PT4 I can see this new errors during instalation. No matter if it´s old or new update.

When I click on "Ignore" two times the installation will complete successfully. But after that all the troubles I mentioned above are happening.

Could you pls help me to resolve the issue?

Hello,

These errors might be caused by some old PokerTracker 4 processes still running when you try to install it. Restart your computer, which should clear those processes, then go to your PokerTracker installation folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\PokerTracker 4) and run the uninstall.exe. After uninstallation completes, try installing it again. If this doesn't work, then open a Support Ticket and a technician will help you out.
