Hi,

Resently after updating from 4.18.1 to 4.18.3 my PT4 started to load a lof of time. I tried to downgrade it to 4.18.1 but it didnt help. My PostgreSQL ver is 9.13.15. and current DB is 2.2GB. After loading all is working great. I read in other threads that I can manually update PostgreSQL, but do I need to do it? Also read about rebuilding cache and when clicking on it, it appears the 1600 columns error. Then tried to navigate in
"pgadminDouble click on "PostgreSQL x.y" (where x.y is your PostgreSQL version) and if your prompted for a password the default is "dbpass" (without the quotes). Next double click on "Databases -> YOUR_DATABASE_NAME -> Schemas -> Public -> Tables -> cash_custom_cache (and/or tourney custom cache for tournaments) and the number in brackets is the number of custom columns which should look" but it just keep loading when clicking on Tables. What to do?

If you have a 1600 columns error then PokerTracker 4 will not be able to maintain that database or update it. Upgrading PostgreSQL does not help with that specific error if those columns are used again after updating since the limit of columns in a database table is still 1600 in newer versions of PostgreSQL. If you have premium content that is protected that you cannot edit and disable the 'Cache' checkbox for then to get below 1600 cached columns you will need to either uncache some of your existing custom columns and/or contact one or more of your premium providers and have some content disabled. Alternatively you can open a Support Ticket and specify which content you want disabled or disable all premium content yourself by turning off 'Configure -> Options -> Download Premium Content'.

There is a message in the screenshot telling you why that isn't working - the PGAdmin version you are using is not compatible with PostgreSQL v9.3. The newer version of PGAdmin may have been installed with the PostgreSQL v12 that's in your screenshot so if you want to connect to PostgreSQL v9.3 then you would need to use an older version of PGAdmin that is compatible with PostgreSQL v9.3.
