Unable to connect

I just downloaded Pokertracker and i can't create database. I get this error "

Unable to create PostgreSQL database: PT4 DB
Reason: This server is not responding to connection attempts. Please restart the PostgreSQL service, then PokerTracker and try again."

I have downloaded Postgresql 12.20 (tried the newer ones and they didn't work either)

It installs succesfully

I have deleted the postmaster file and still doesn't work.

In services.msc it says it's running automatically

Firewall is not the issue

In that case start please start PokerTracker 4 with the logging enabled link via your Windows Start menu, reproduce this issue and then attach your PokerTracker 4.log file and your 5 newest PostgreSQL log files to a Support Ticket:

C:\Users\{Windows Login}\AppData\Local\PokerTracker 4\Logs\PokerTracker4.log

To access the log file open File Explorer in Windows and enter the following in the address bar:

%localappdata%\PokerTracker 4\Logs

The file we need will be the text file called 'PokerTracker4' or 'PokerTracker4.log' that is in that folder.

Your PostgreSQL log files will be here by default:

C:/Program Files/PostgreSQL/12/data/pg_log

That will depend on the exact version of Windows but you can access a list of program shortcuts via the Windows Start button which is on your taskbar. On Windows 11 you may need to go into 'All Apps' then scroll down (every program is listed alphabetically):

You can also click your Windows start button and then start typing 'PokerTracker 4'. You should then see the 'PokerTracker 4 (Logging Enabled)' option and select that.
