Stats on players keep resetting to 0 hands

I have installed the trial version on my mac and Im using it with pokerstars.

I have been playing for a couple of days and it all seems fine apart from that I all players who I had previously had over 100 hands data now reset to 0 with all the stats reset as well. This has happened every time I start a new session.

I had assumed that data on players would remain in the database so I could recognise players and build up hand history and player stats on them over time.

Is there something I need to do to make this happen?

Player statistics do not reset unless you have purged hands from the database or started a new one. Most PokerStars sites have very large player pools so you may not have seen the same players more than once if you've just been playing for a couple of days. You can create an 'All Players' report in 'My Reports' to see the player data that's been accumulated so far:

This has happened every time I start a new session.

Where are you seeing this? In the HUD? You can compare your opponents HUD data with the data in the report I mentioned above and they should be the same unless you are using HUD filters or filters in the report. If you are referring to your own personal HUD statistics while playing then PokerTracker 4 is designed to only show your session stats in the HUD at each table. As your own number of hands increases your lifetime stats don't change much if at all between hands but your image at each individual table may vary considerably depending on the cards you've been dealt or your opponents. If you want to see your lifetime stats for analysis purposes you can do so in your PokerTracker 4 reports or load up a hand (any hand) in the replayer and turn the 'Show Hero LifeTime Stats' option on via the 'Options' button.

Im talking about the HUD stats. I recognise players from previous days who I had played over 100 hands with and had stats on them that indicated VPIP of 20 for example. The following session the hand number is back to 0 on the HUD and VPIP and other stats are wildly different due to the low number of hands on the opponents.

What I expected was that the HUD stats would remember players and allow me to play with the full history with them (obviously the pool is large and so new players always begin at 0 hands) . That seems like the whole point of the tool rather than starting from 0 hands on the HUD every time I log in.

That isn't default behaviour. Please note the following:

1. Does the HUD have a red background? If you have enabled session statistics (via the PT-icon on the table) then the HUD will have a red background and will display session statistic for opponents instead of lifetime statistics.

2. Have you changed any HUD filters? That can change what data is displayed in the HUD:

No the HUD desnt have a red background, its black.

I havent altered HUD filters, I didnt know there were any to alter.

I am playing zoom on pokerstars by the way.

Also occasionally the hero HUD does not display. And sometimes the HUDS of all players are in the wrong place. So players HUDs will be under the wrong players all round the table.

So we can investigate this further and follow up with you please turn on 'Enable Logging' in PokerTracker 4 via 'Configure -> Options' and then restart PokerTracker 4. Next reproduce this issue, take a screenshot of your table(s) and attach that and your support bundle to a Support Ticket along with a link to this thread. The support bundle is created via the 'File -> Create Support Bundle' menu option in PokerTracker 4:
