ICACLS error when trying to update POSTGRE

Postby snkplissken » Wed May 29, 2024 8:10 am

So, my PT started acting up, not showing the HUD or showing it and not changing the players on new tables (I play rush on winamax). I updated my PT version just in case, but that didn't solve the issue. I then decided to create a new database and got the same error as this user explains here (https://www.pokertracker.com/forums/vie ... 8&t=103865), so since I had a 8.x version of Postgre I tried to upgrade it to the 12.19 version and I get this message everytime https://gyazo.com/e03a94b0e6ebfb6f2f73aaeb3f51de3a. I've tried everything that I've been able to find on google such as reseting ICACLS and taking ownership of folders but that didnt work either. Also checked for hard driver errors with chkdsk. In the meantime I found here https://superuser.com/questions/1475822/postgresql-install-fail-in-windows-10-icacls-error-access-denied a 11.2.1 version of Postgre that I was able to install, but PT kept not working properly, so I'm now trying again to install the 12.19 version from the official web. I've reached a point where I don't know what else to do. Thanks in advance for your help.

That's not an error I've seen before however if PostgreSQL v11 installed and PokerTracker 4 was running with that version then you can turn on 'Enable Logging' in PokerTracker 4 via 'Configure -> Options' and then restart PokerTracker 4. Next reproduce the issue on your Winamax tables and then attach your support bundle to a Support Ticket where a technician can chcek your logs. The support bundle is created via the 'File -> Create Support Bundle' menu option in PokerTracker 4. With regards to the failed PostgreSQL v12 install check if you have this file and you attach that to the ticket along with the information you've posted here:

C:\Users\{Windows Login}\AppData\Local\Temp\install-postgresql.log

If you do not see the AppData folder in Windows File Explorer then please refer to this guide.
