problem after update

Postby dacodoc67 » Fri Apr 26, 2024 12:35 pm

Hello,

I have a problem since the last update of PT4.
it asks me to update the database

"PokerTracker 4 has been updated with the latest features and improvements, a database update is required to ensure that your database(s) are compatible."

But when I do it I get these error messages

"Error updating database: PokerTracker 4 Database
Error:
Error: Unable to execute query: Fatal Error; Reason: ERROR: column "some_time" does not exist LINE 6: ... SELECT (CAST (date_part('year', timezone('UTC', some_time)... ^"

"Error updating database: PokerTracker 4 Database
Error:
Error: Unable to execute query: Fatal Error; Reason: ERROR: current transaction is aborted, commands ignored until end of transaction block "

and in the view stats tab I have this error message and no more hands...

"Error: Unable to execute: Fatal Error: current transaction is aborted, commands ignored until end of transaction block"

I have already reinstalled the database. I even tried with an older version and also reinstalled pokertracker 4

thanks in advance

We have investigated the problem and found that it only happens for users that are using very old PostgreSQL versions such as v8.4 which reached its end-of-life in 2014. To fix the issue you will need to install and use PostgreSQL version v12.18 and then restore your database(s) - see this guide:

https://www.pokertracker.com/guides/PT4 ... postgresql

When the newer PostgreSQL version is installed then the database update should complete.
