problem with creating a new DB

just used the create new DB function. I was expecting to get a fresh DB with 0 hands but what i got was a carbon copy of my old DB. Im starting a new stake and i want to keep all my current hand histories in my old DB and only have hands from my new stake in my new DB

Creating a new database doesn't copy anything from other databases. You will need to change the current active database in PokerTracker 4 from the original database to the new one otherwise you will still be looking at the original database (the name of the current active database is displayed at the top of the PokerTracker 4 window):
