Wrong Standard Deviation?

Postby F_Carraro633 » Mon Oct 10, 2022 2:57 pm

Hello everybody, I have been using PT4 with satifaction over the last year, but there is this stat that, in my opinion, is wrong or miscalculated.
In a sample of 80k hands in 2NL and 40k hands in 40k in 5NL PT4 says my Standard Dev is 220 and 360 bb/100 respectively. This seems kind of insane to me.

Recently I have opened a new database and, with a sample of 6k hands and the results are still out of line. Also, I calculated the StdDev using the formula and it gives me like 60bb/100, which seems a much more reasonable value given the results.

What do you think it is going on here? Thank you for your help.

I am not able to reproduce this. You are currently using a very old version of PokerTracker 4 so please update it:

Download PokerTracker 4

Bear in mind that this will require a database update:

PokerTracker v4.17 Release Notes

If that doesn't change anything please report this to us in a Support Ticket and attach a sample of your hand histories.
