every so often my hud wont load and it just says error after every hand played. is there anything i can do to fix this?

Update to the latest version of PokerTracker 4 if you haven't already done so:

Download PokerTracker 4

otherwise please enable logging, reproduce this issue and send us your PokerTracker4.log file in a Support Ticket so we can see what is going on here:
