Having 2 User's HH?

Postby SolidRec » Fri Mar 12, 2021 1:47 pm

So my buddy sent me his hand histories to review. I was wondering if PT4 will mix these in as my own or if I can view them as belonging to a separate player?

If the site and/or player name is unique from yours then they can be reviewed separately but if they are not (such as sites who call player 'Hero' in the hand histories regardless of the actual player name on the site) then they will get mixed. Also most sites do not permit datamining/gathering statistics on hands you haven't personally participated in so you might want to check with your poker site or import those into a separate database and review them there.

it looks like they indeed did get mixed... Is there anyway I can find a way to separate them?

(and can I clear the entire database and reimport only my own or his hands after?)

I don't know what site this is for but if both players have the same name on the same site then there would be no way to separate the data unless you can filter for it. For example you might have played at a different stake from your friend.

If you have played at different stakes and/or different times then you can purge those hands from the database:

Guide: Purging Sessions & Tournaments

You can also create/delete databases and import hands into them as required:
