PT4 is installed on the same disk as PT3. If I look at the properties of both programs, they are exactly the same.

If I start the programs I get a pop-up 'User account controll' in which I've to click on 'Yes'. In PT3 the publisher is 'PokerTracker Software', but in PT4 the publisher is unknown. Maybe this is a problem?

When starting PT3 I always get another pop-up, but I've never paid attention to it cause PT3 works fine:

When I click 'Let me continue' PT3 works fine. So maybe their is a slightly difference in the start-up?

I am the only user of my notebook, so no idea what to do about it.

With the default installation properties you shouldn't be seeing that box - either way though, are you saying PT4 won't start up properly for you?

No PT4 doesn't start, good conclusion :P

I've looked further and if I go to the option 'Give administrative rights to a domain user', I see 3 User for this computer:

User Name - Domain - Group
Administrator - S081232 - Administrators
s081232 - TUE - Administrators
Student - S081232 - Administrators

I have Administrator rights, so maybe the problem comes form the unknown publisher?

Ah I'm now logged in under the account name 'Administrator' and now I get the screen were I can enter my Registration Code. So It looks like if PT4 is checking if I'm logged in as Administrator instead of checking if I've admin rights?

That is possible though unlikely - more likely is that from your description it sounds like you are on a domain and that can cause strange behavior with PostgreSQL.

I finnaly pointed out that I can loggin with 3 different usernames (I never knew that): S081232/Administrator, S081232/Student and TUE/s081232.

As I can see all these accounts have adminrights:

Normally I login with the third one, in which PT4 won't start. In the first one it does and for the second I'm going to check it after this message.

For the second PT4 also starts, after which I can fill in the registration code.

I was doubting how other students login on their notebooks, thus I asked a few friends who are also students at the TUE and they also login under TUE/s08........., so that is standard.

What I can do is login on one of the other user accounts when I want to use PT4, but that is quite a cumbersome way. So I guess I'll just continue to use PT3.

I'll make certain one of the developers looks into this for you - this really shouldn't be happening, though domains can cause some strange behavior.

Okay, I'll wait for a response of a developer.
