Release 4.01.22 crashes Stars when getting Zoom hands

with the new version yeah, we can import but then nothing shows up or it crashes so that's worth almost nothing.

so just reverting to the old version doesn't work (can no longer import hands), but reverting to the old version AND to the older database (if you made the backup before installing the new one... you did, didn't you?) seems to work perfectly.
good thing it worked, god forbid you take my zoom away from me :mrgreen:

Same here... start 'get hands while playing' if pokerstars tourney is running and the pokerstars client get slammed. Seeing as how I'm in a Win XP VM and I don't run AV software, this error message don't make a heap of sense.

Edit: This was for non-zoom tourney... sorry, didn't properly read thread header.

If you're not playing Zoom tables then please disable the Zoom option in the PokerStars Configuration page.

Reverting to the previous version of PT4 will only work if you have a backed up database to revert to as well - there were database changes which mean that updated databases won't work with previous versions.

I expect a new version today to resolve this issue - apologies for the inconvenience!

Hi WhiteRider,

I skipped the database backup option. Will the fix work for me or did my database get corrupted? My custom stats stopped working and I can't make any reports or view statistics.

When we release a fix all you'll need to do is upgrade from 4.01.22 to 4.01.23 and the database changes will be fine - what WhiteRider was saying was that going backwards won't work with your database because of the changes we made.

Good to know, kraada. I had a client crash when I first opened PS after installing the PT4-update and on later attempts no HUD at all while playing ZOOM. I hope you can solve this quickly; if you need anything, please, don't hesitate to ask for it!
