We are lobbying sites to provide this information in their hand histories, but until they do that we can't tell automatically whether it is a 9 or 10 seat table.

Until 888 start including this information you will need to use the PT-icon > Treat As ... option to tell the HUD which table size to use if the table is not of the default size as we can't tell the difference between 9 and 10 seat tables from the hand history.

The "Treat as" option does not work as i said in my previous post. But how is hud finding the right table on cash but fails for tourneys? Is the number of people on cash tables included in the hh's?

Sorry - the "treat as" issue is marked as fixed for the next release. For cash tables the default is 9 seats, but for tournaments I guess it is 10 seats. It does look as if most tournaments use 9 seat tables as well - is that the case in your experience?

Have not had a single 10 handed tourney yet. Not saying that they are not, just that if there are, they are very few and far between. There are however some 10 handed SNG's i see in the lobby.

This issue has not been resolved yet. I just loaded a session and my hud stats were all messed up, as normal. Then i used Treat as option and the hud stopped responding. It also looked like a second hud had started on top of the new one but neither was functioning. also the "PT control center" box had become unresponsive. Had to restart PT4 alltogether as restart hud did non seem to fix anything.
Please see below for screenshots of how the hud looked like after using the treat as option:

On another note, I was told that 888 does not write the number of players per table in the hh's but this seems incorrect. Below, please see a hand there it reads table has 9 players. hopefuly this is good enough to help fix all 888 HUD issues.

didn't want to edit the old post so:

I just randomly got treat as option working. i did not do anything different from all the times before where it stopped working but this time it all went fine. Also seems that when it is working the "align mucked cards" option displays the correct number of cards to align.

Just to clarify: the line:

Total number of players : 9

..is the number of players seated. If you are at a 10 seat table with 9 players you will see exactly the same.
If a player leaves it will say "8", but that doesn't mean it's now an 8 seat table.

hmm, Well there must be a way 'cause apparently HEM2 has it all sussed out.

On another note, is it not possible to have PT4 treat all tournament tables as 9max by default? There is no 10max tournaments any more and very few 6max.

It's something we are working on, I assure you. These issues are complex and take time to work out properly.

I would like to add that I experienced this problem, too. A little bit differently, though.

The thing is that PT3 HUD worked correctly in 9-handed tournaments, but in 6-max cash games I had to use "Treat as" (and it helped).
In PT4 beta the HUD works correctly in 9-handed cash games, works correctly after "Treat as" in 9-handed tournaments, BUT is messed up on 6-max cash tables, even after "Treat as->6 max".

If you enable the Automatically Apply Treat As option in Sites & Import Options then the sessions should be detected as 6-max (based on the number of active players) and then the correct layout should be used automatically. As kraada said, we're looking into any remaining issues here, and we are also in contact with several sites to try to persuade them to include the information needed so that this can all be automated and fully accurate.
