failed to connect

Postby DRedstone » Thu Jul 31, 2008 6:02 pm

haven't using hud for a long time as I upgraded to PT3.
however been trying to play some Omaha and when running Hud I get :
SQL Connection Exception : failed to connect to datasource : FATAL : password authentication failed for user...

pt omaha seems to work fine and I don't remember changing any settings.

Did you update to a newer version of postgres when you set up PT3?
Please see this post:
It is possible to use PT2 with postgres 8.3

Yeah, I actually uninstalled postgress and run PT3+postgress installer.
But the weird thing is that PT omaha works ok as far as I cann see.

Was playing omaha tournament so didn't really look for imported hands, but at least PT did seem to import hands and didn't complain about any errors.

Any suggestions to find the problem and how to fix it?

Thanks

See if that helps.

PAH doesn't fully support 8.3, although as far as I'm aware it is only the cache that doesn't work.
You say you have PTO working properly with this postgres 8.3 database? And is that called PTPGSQL1?

I have no idea where that database name came from as none of my database are named so (as fas as I know)
anyway, I tested it, and it seems to work.
I get that error message when I first start Ace Hud, but it does seem to work fine.

The databases that PAH is using are configured in Options -> Preferences -> Databases -> Omaha.
Make sure this is set up correctly for what you are using in PTO.

on further inspection, it seems like my omaha database is not even postgress.
guess Hud is trying to connect to my PT3 database or something...

Yeah, I checked that.
There is only one database on the omaha list and its the default one.
there are two database on the holdem list and I unchosen both. :
my first poker tracker database
my first poker tracker database (postgresSQL)

Am going to just delete all PT2 folder and see if that changes anything...

but as long as it works, I don't really care :)
