Pokerstars HH File Name Issue

Postby RicoJay13 » Wed Apr 16, 2008 1:45 am

I searched and couldn't find anyone else with this issue. I'm using PT2 with the HUD, and my Pokerstars files that begin with ps, such as "ps NL ($0.50) 14236989035 to 14237066783", do not get shown in the HUD stats. Files get created like this when you export them from PT to a file. Hands I've played directly that get moved from the hand history pokerstars file to a separate file are recognized by the HUD, but the 'ps' hands don't seem to be. I can import them manually into PT, but they don't reflect in my HUD stats even at that point. I tried importing them and then manually moving the files to the file with all my relocated hand histories, but still not getting into the HUD stats. This is of huge importance because I play poker on two computers, and need an easy way to move hands played on comp1 to comp2 and have them show up in my dbase and HUD.

Anyone else have this issue or know a solution? Thanks.

Are these hands being properly imported into PokerTracker and the data is available? If so, make sure that this database is selected in PokerAce Hud under Options->Preferences->Databases->Holdem. If the data is viewable in PokerTracker then it is also viewable in PokerAce Hud.

Yeah I manually imported the hands into PT and they are visible. When I try to import them the normal way by having the files taken from the hand history stars folder and then processed into another folder, it doesn't work and the files don't get relocated to the processed folder at all.

The issue is whether HUD can find them using the hand history folders if I manually import the hands and then place the hand history files into the processed folder manually. It doesn't seem to recognize or display hands where the name of the file is 'ps ...' , the format that PT exports hand histories as. Should I be using the 'memory scanner' instead?

EDIT: The memory scanner finds the hands that are manually imported, so problem solved. Hopefully using more resources doesn't slow things down compared to using the hand history files/folders.

The amount of resources that the memory scanner uses are minimal (despite the notice).

I am still unsure of what exactly you are trying to convey. The only hand histories that PokerAce Hud would rely on are the files written directly to your hard drive by PokerStars. Whether you move them, rename them or whatever, after the fact, has no bearing on PokerAce Hud. (Not quite true, you should move your processed files either automatically or manually so PAH does not needlessly go through the old files and consume resources)

Best regards,

Derek
