cnt_t_cbet_opp definition

Postby nTzzzz » Wed Sep 21, 2011 6:49 pm

Hi guys!

I have had my own customized cashgame HUD for a long time now. I decided to work on improving it today and since the custom stats repository is not enough for me this time, I’m currently getting to understand how to create my own. Therefore I’m probably going to have a lot of questions in the next few days. Here is the first one (sorry if it was asked before):

In the “Holdem Cash Player Statistics” columns, what is the definition of a “cbet turn opportunity” (cnt_t_cbet_opp)? Does it take being the preflop raiser AND cbetting the flop, or just putting in the last bet on the flop?

I’m assuming the same goes of cbet river.

Thank you!

PS. For my upcoming questions, should I create a new thread or post in this one?

You can only c-bet if you were the aggressor on all previous streets. So, you can only c-bet the flop if you were the last to raise preflop, and you can only c-bet the turn if you c-bet the flop. The same applies to the river.

Feel free to ask more questions in this thread, but either is fine. If you have questions on similar or related issues it's probably easiest to keep them in the same thread so that we can read back through the history easily if we need to refer back to anything.

Thank you very much!

New question that is not about the HUD per se:

I'd like to be able to compare other players' stats as displayed in my HUD to my own (to get a better feel for what those stats mean in terms of ranges). But the HUD is obviously only displaying my session stats so I don't know what stats I run in the long term.

Is there a way I could extract my lifetime stats (using the stats that I use in my HUD+popup) without having to build from scratch a report basically identical to my HUD and popup?

Just to be clear, I don't need my lifetime stats on the table, I just want to see them once, and extract them to an excel file.

The only way to do that will be in a report - the Player Statistics report on your General tab can be configured (via the small wrench icon) to show any HUD statistic.

Aouch! And there is no way I could do kind of a copy paste from the "Configure HUD" menu to the "Reports" menu so that I don't have to select every single statistic again?
The thing is, I have more than 300 stats in my popup and I'm only gonna use the report once :S

I'm afraid there's no way to do that at this time.

Alright, thanks!

New questions:
-Do the colors I define for custom stats in the custom stats menu just act as a default once in the HUD menu? Or am I then unable to change them?
-How is 'calling an allin' described in the database? Is it like any other call? What I actually have in mind is how I'm going to create my 4bet and 5bet stats in respect to situations where because your opponent is short, you're just calling his 4bet allin and you just can't 5bet.
An even more obvious example would be the Agression Factor, is calling an allin going to be counted as a call (and therefore a passive line)?

Sorry for the additional work, I'm afraid that's only the beginning of a long list of questions!

Whithin the general tab, it seems the 'Player summary' only reacts to date filters, while the the 'Player Statistics' uses all user defined filters. Is that how this works? Is there any other section in the program I should know about where not all filters are being used?

(1) The first rule in any given stat's color tab is checked first, if it's true that color is applied, then the second color, etc. If you change them later and restart the HUD you should see the new colors.

(2) You call an all-in if you face a raise that someone made of his entire stack and call it.

(3) For all aggression stats, calling all-in is not considered differently from any other call. But it should be such a small percentage of calls that I would not expect it to affect aggression stats in any material way once you have sufficient data on an opponent.

(4) That's right - any report which displays data about entire sessions doesn't use individual hand filters. So the Sessions tab won't filter either if you filter for (for example) having AA. Any report that shows you individual hands or stats based on groups of hands that aren't sessions will be affected by all filters.

Thanks, this is helping a lot!

About (3), my concern is with 4 / 5 bet stats (that I have yet to design, unless I can find some that are good).

From what you said I assume, having to call a 4bet allin is considered a 'call 4bet opportunity'.
If so, we're left with a problem no matter what we do:

-either having to call a 4bet allin is also considered a '5bet opportunity', and the 5bet% is then going to be vastly underestimated (this is a bigger problem that for agression factors because it happens way more often because of both half stackers and people who CCPF then 4bet allin for 100bb after a squeeze).
-or having to call a 4bet allin is NOT considered a '5bet opportunity', (which would intuitively make more sense), but then the sum of 'Fold to 4bet', 'Call 4bet' and '5bet' is going to be higher than 100%, so I feel the 3 stats will have less value in terms of describing how someone reacts to a 4bet.

Therefore, is there any way I could build stats such that having the choice between folding to or calling a 4bet allin is NOT considered a 'call 4bet opportunity' (nor a 5bet opportunity obviously)?
