how to store my Database

Postby matze_widi » Tue Jul 19, 2011 7:52 am

So PostqSQL needs a lot of space on my C drive and i just dont have enough there.
On my D disc i have space like a ton and wanna store PT3 completely to my other disc drive.

IS that possible and how can i do that??
i just wanna avoid having some low disc issues in the futrure.

The easiest way to do this is to backup the database, uninstall PostgreSQL, reinstall PostgreSQL to the other drive, then restore the database. There are other ways to do it, but they're a lot more technical.

No, the backup needs to be made while the database is running. The backup is much, much smaller than the database size.

Did you uninstall PostgreSQL? If so you'll need to reinstall it in order to get your data.

Please restart PT3 with the Logging Enabled link, reproduce and report this problem - the logs will contain considerable data that we can use to figure out exactly what is going wrong in your case so that we can get you back up and running again.
