new column in holdem table session summary?

Postby zachanassian » Fri Jan 07, 2011 10:16 am

I try to create a statistic which really tells me how much rake I paid. Rake paid means I won and paid the complete rake.
I have created a new Column (amt_rake_paid) and Stats in Holdem Cash Hands (if[ amt_bb_won > 0, amt_rake, 0 ]). This works perfect and in Reports tab I am now able to see the sum wor all hands for eg. last week.

However I want to see this in the Winnings tab as well. As far as I understand it I would need a new column in holdem_table_session_summary but I am unable to figure out how to add the sum of amt_rake_paid to this table. Any ideas?

Thanks and Regards,
Zach

OK I checked the sessions tab and it seems that Rake (Total Rake Paid, amt_rake) of Holdem Cash Session is already trying to show this information. However I filtered for the hands I played today (1 session). In sessions tab I see I have played 1 session (262 hands) and Rake is shown as $11.60. If I run my report for today I also see 262 hands. So I assume this is the same session. But total of column amt_rake_paid as defined above is only $8.60. So there is a differnec of about $3 between these informations. Any idea where this is coming from?

The "Rake" stat in the Holdem Cash Player Statistics section already does what you are trying to do.
The difference probably comes from split pots. Here you can "win" a hand but still lose money by paying rake.
The built-in Rake stat's column checks for you winning the hand rather than winning money.

Thanks for the quick reply. Yes you are right. I found the hand that causes the problem using filter (flg_won_hand). It was a hand where I and the SB went AI for $100 with $3 Dead Money and we split a pot of $203 $3rake in total => amount_won = 0. However in this example I would prefer that only half the rake ($1.50) is assigned to my user because in a ideal world with 0% rake I would have won $101.5 and not $103. In general I am looking for if[ flg_won_hand = true, amt_rake / count_of_winners_in_hand, 0 ]. But how do I calculate count_of_winners_in_hand?

We don't have that information at the moment. We have this issue in our system to be fixed and I will remind the development team about it. If you create a Support ticket about the issue we will link it to our system so that you get a notification when the fix is released.

Thanks, I have created a ticket! But back to the original question. I want to seperate my winnings from my looses. So once again I add something like

amt_won_pos = if[ amt_won >= 0, amt_won, 0 ]
amt_won_neg = if[ amt_won < 0, amt_won, 0 ]

(Obviously in a summary line amount_won = amt_won_pos + amt_won_neg.)

This works perfect in a Holdem Cash Hands report. But similar to the original problem I would like to get this in session_summary as well. Any idea how this can be done?

That's not going to be possible to do in that statistics section - the session summary section does not calculate stats by iterating over individual hands only individual sessions and as such you cannot distinguish winnings hands from losing hands there. You could do something similar to what you want in a custom report though in the Player Statistics section to get total sums broken down by months. Use
amt_won_pos = sum(if[ amt_won >= 0, amt_won, 0 ])
amt_won_neg = sum(if[ amt_won < 0, amt_won, 0 ])

and build your stat from those, then use the MonthDayYear stat attached in this post and that will break the report down into months.
