Your own stats will only ever be for the current session/table - this is by design, and is intended to show your current table image. Other players' stats should be 'lifetime'.

Oh, I see. Interesting. Wouldn't it be better to offer both figures in the HUD? Btw, this only JUST started working for my opponents yesterday after I changed settings. Prior to that it was only displaying current session stats for them as well. I'm not sure exactly what impact changing the settings had as eventually I changed them back to defaults. Weird.

I'm glad to hear it's working for you now. Your opponents don't know your lifetime stats so seeing those in the HUD doesn't give you any benefit at the table. You can see your lifetime stats in the main application reports, and you can add any stats you like there (e.g. to the General > Player Statistics report).
