I have followed the instructions under viewtopic.php?f=45&t=4638#p21987 how to configure for network access. After making the changes, I am unable to stop/start/restart database. PT3 obviously won't start because it cannot connect to the database. I tried the SQL Shell.app and got the following:
Server [localhost]:
Database [postgres]:
Port [5432]:
Username [postgres]:
WARNING: password file "/Users/xxxxxxx/.pgpass" has group or world access; permissions should be u=rw (0600) or less
psql: could not connect to server: Connection refused

Press <return> to continue...
There is no file called .pgpass and if I try to look at it with PGAdmin III it shows a blank file. Would greatly appreciate any help. Been searching this forum nonstop!
Thanks,
Mike
Oh yeah, for the record, I did reboot also...
