PT3 "Time Out" Issue?

Postby tripp789 » Mon May 26, 2008 10:05 am

Occassionally I'll walk away from the computer for an extended time leaving PT3 running. Upon returning PT3 has dissappeared (this happened with PAHUD working with PT2 in the past frequently). Upon returning and trying to restart PT3, it indicates another instance is running. There is no visible indicator of this in anywhere in the task bar. Task manager does show that pokertracker.exe is running.

The only way to get it back is a restart?

In Task Manager you need to look in Processes, not Applications when something has disappeared. Do you have PT3 configured to minimize to system tray? Try unchecking that and see if you still get the problem.

Yes I do have it set to minimize to the tray. I will uncheck that, but why offer it as an option if it doesn't work/causes issues? Will this be fixed or removed from future updates?

It will be fixed. It wasn't supposed to break things - it works for most people, but seems to cause trouble on a few systems.
If you can reproduce the problem please submit your PokerTracker.log to the Support system , and link to this thread so it can be investigated.
