hey, i downloaded PT3 with postgresql because i thought it meant its for computers with it installed instead of access. i allready have postgresql installed, and i installed the PT3, should i use it? or is it gonna try and install postgresql again and muck up my system somehow?

Just download the "without postgres" version and install that.

do i uninstall the other one? will i still get the free trial?

No need to uninstall - if you already installed ok then you don't need to do anything.
Yes, you can download new versions freely within the trial period.
